The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate for a NSF/USDA NIFA funded Water Sustainability in Snow-Fed Arid Land River System grant – federal award No. 1360506. Based in the Department of Economics, the successful candidate and will conduct research related to analysis of decision-making by agricultural producers, operators of water utilities, regional water managers, and at a policy/institutional level. The economic research will be conducted in collaboration with a team of hydrologists, atmospheric scientists and other social scientists using an integrated approach to incorporate human decision-making and biophysical models. The candidate will be expected to collaborate in publications, both disciplinary and interdisciplinary. This position is a two year temporary appointment, renewable contingent on funding after the first two years.
