The Department of Economics at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from scholars of international distinction for a tenured, full-time Professor of Macroeconomics (Level E classification).

Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong academic leadership, an outstanding research record of consistently publishing in top journals, an active, ongoing research agenda, and a track record of attracting external research funding. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to all Department objectives, including excellence in research, supervision and teaching, mentoring junior staff and actively participating in Department governance.

The Economics Department is committed to excellence in research and teaching. It has a very vibrant research culture and is ranked within the top 50 "top level" institutions in RePEc. In support of its research objectives, the Department is able to offer low teaching loads and generous travel and research funding.

A very competitive remuneration package will be negotiated for the successful applicant.
