The Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute (the Institute) invites selected scholars to a residency at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis to pursue their research and work on projects related to the Institute's main mission of increasing economic opportunity and inclusive growth.

Up to two Senior Visiting Scholar positions: a flexible program in duration to be taken anytime during the year term for senior scholars interested in pursuing their research at the Institute.

All scholars are competitively compensated and receive office space at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, which includes an academic library facility. Additionally, scholars are supported by research analysts and administrative staff including assistance in gaining access to and proficiency with limited-access Federal Reserve System datasets relevant to the Institute's mission.

Eligibility and Guidelines:
All applicants must have a Ph.D. in the Social Sciences with a demonstrated ability to conduct high-level, peer-reviewed scholarly research. Applicants should possess experience beyond the Ph.D. The Institute does not accept applications from doctoral or other graduate students.

Selection Process:
All applications undergo an initial internal screening to assess the strength and relevance of the research proposal. The applications that pass the internal screening are sent out for external review by the advisory board of the Institute. The final selection decisions are made by a committee internal to the Institute after consulting with the advisory board.

Deadlines:
Applications for residence during the 2017-2018 academic year are accepted between January 18 and February 28, 2017. Decisions are made in March 2017.
