The College of Business Administration at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications and nominations for an Eminent Scholar in Global Studies who is expected to be a visible leader in the college, highly active in scholarly research, externally funded projects, and outreach to businesses, governments, and the community at large. Expertise on India and other countries on the Silk Road is critical to the success of the individual.

We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on a diverse and intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community. A Ph.D. in Business, International Business or Economics, or a related discipline, with experience in security cooperation and policy development is required. A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution and eligibility to hold Personnel Security Clearance are preferred. In addition to a strong commitment to teach graduate and undergraduate students, the successful candidate must be able to mentor students and junior faculty.

Candidates must have a strong academic background, must be an internationally known researcher in international affairs, international business, and/or economic development, and must be committed to a continuing program of scholarship. The Eminent Scholar may be appointed at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure.
