Frostburg State University seeks applications for full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Economics position to begin Fall 2017. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications; University System of Maryland benefits package included.

Responsibilities: Teach various Economics courses including Principles of Economics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and International Trade and Finance, with appropriate research productivity and service to the institution. Faculty members at FSU are expected to actively participate in the University’s student-learning-assessment program.

Frostburg State University’s College of Business is AACSB accredited and values teaching, scholarly contribution, and service. The College of Business has a growing reputation for addressing the rapidly changing landscape of business through its emphasis on global experiential learning. While the College’s primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes productivity in the area of Intellectual Contributions. Service activities to the College include student advising and select committee assignments.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Economics required for appointment at rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates in Economics with a firm completion date may be considered for appointment at rank of Instructor. We are seeking applicants with interest in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics and/or International Economics. A record of teaching effectiveness and evidence of scholarly work required.
