The Department of Social Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure track Economics Instructor for 2017/2018 (August 15 start), with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will have a 4/4 teaching load, with courses capped at 30 students. The instructor will teach principles, and may also teach selected electives. Responsibilities include working with colleagues to advise and mentor undergraduates, and to strengthen SJC’s Economics program. The instructor will be an integral part of the department, and will attend, and have a vote at, department meetings.

Teaching excellence is required, as is a PhD or master’s degree in Economics or in a closely related field. Candidates from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Remuneration is competitive, and includes health insurance and other benefits.
