The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, a non-partisan research and education policy center at the University of Tennessee with focal areas in Energy and Environment, Global Security and Leadership and Governance, seeks applications for the non-tenure-track position of Associate Director.

Responsibilities include coordination and cultivation of leadership programs and student engagement initiatives, mentoring, instruction in government/public policy, design and management of all public programs and events, marketing and communications, staff oversight, and pursuit of external funding opportunities. The Associate Director assumes primary responsibility for the Center's Leadership and Governance program. Candidates should have a passion for government, civic education, public policy and bipartisan civility, the legacy of the late Sen. Howard H. Baker, Jr.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent is required.

Preference will be given to candidates with a background in public policy and experiences in academia, think tanks and the public sector.
