Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates (holding a PhD) for a College Teaching Officer (Lectureship) post in Economics tenable for five years in the first instance, but with the possibility of renewal to retirement thereafter, to begin from a date no later than 1 October 2017. Applications are encouraged from candidates specialising in any field of economics, but candidates must be able to teach one or more of microeconomics, macroeconomics or econometrics in the Cambridge Economics Tripos undergraduate course. The post-holder will be required to undertake 12 hours of small group College teaching per week (for 20 weeks) during Terms, and will be expected to assume a role as one of the College Directors of Studies in Economics, for which additional payment is made. The post-holder will be required to undertake and to publish high quality research in Economics in excellent academic journals. College Lecturers are normally elected to a College Official Fellowship, which carries a range of other benefits and responsibilities.
