The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track or Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics, beginning Fall 2017. Tenure track duties include teaching, engaging in related scholarly research, and service. Teaching is the primary expectation for the visiting position.

Requirements:
• Ph.D. in economics for the tenure-track position.
• Ph.D. or ABD for the visiting position.
• record of or potential for contribution to the scholarship of economics.
• willingness to teach courses in the traditional and online environments.
• proficiency in oral and written communication,
• dedication to engagement, service and the public good.
• experience working with diverse students, staff, and faculty are preferred.

Preferred is a primary area of teaching in managerial economics with a secondary area of teaching in principles of economics and another economics subfield. Related business experience is preferred as is scholarly interest that complements the position’s teaching fields.
