Position Title/Short Description

The Director will oversee and manage the macroeconomic service. Track, analyze, and communicate global macroeconomic developments and data to clients across the global forest products industry. Generate economic forecasts for multitude of countries and regions covered by RISI. Author the monthly commentary report on macroeconomic developments relevant to the forest product industry. Contribute forecasts and written analysis to quarterly publications and multi client studies and consulting projects. Present RISI's forecast and analysis at outlook conferences worldwide. Manage data collection and centralized macroeconomic database. This includes management of the team responsible for developing the consistent set of cost drivers being used across cost benchmarking and the EA practices.

Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of Economic Theory; Micro, Macro, and Econometrics
• Analytical Skills; Modeling, Statistics, and Managing Data
• Communication Skills; Oral and Written
• Computer Competence
• A bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field and preferably a Masters degree in economics or related field
