2017-2018 Temporary Teaching Positions
Area of Instruction: Economics
The Department of Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses. Priority will be given to candidates who are able to teach courses at all levels (principles, intermediate, and advanced) in a range of economics fields, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, finance, and theory. A qualified applicant will have a Ph.D. in economics, and preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience at the college level.
Teaching appointments are temporary and variable, ranging from one to three courses per quarter, and from one quarter to one year in length, with the possibility of reappointment, based on department need. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
