Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Associate Regional Economist requires extensive knowledge and analysis of relevant regional economic data, along with economic conditions and developments across the Fifth District.

Job Responsibilities

Research and Analysis:
• Analyze regional economic trends to develop content and write articles for Research publications and the Bank's public website.
• Participate in the administration and reporting of the monthly and quarterly surveys of regional business leaders.
• Manage and produce external and internal publications that could include collecting or compiling data, reporting developments in the data, and analyzing economic conditions across the Fifth District.
• Research current and emerging trends and provide in-depth analysis of current economic conditions affecting the Fifth District
• Participate in qualitative and quantitative data gathering, such as attending roundtables of local business people and finding, compiling, and using new sources of data.

Data Development/Data Management:
• Work with team members to manage and update internally- and externally-developed data using statistical programs and Excel
• Explore new sources of data and develop/maintain relationships with state and local data providers and other stakeholders

Qualifications/Experience (required):
• Bachelor's degree and master's degree in economics or related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience writing about economic issues.
