The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) anticipates filling at least one Ph.D. level economist position in the National Accounts Research and Analysis Group.

BEA’s mission is to promote a better understanding of the U.S. economy by providing the most timely, relevant, and accurate economic accounts data. To achieve our mission objectives, we need highly qualified economists and other professionals equipped to develop new and innovative approaches to economic measurement that keep pace with the dynamic economy.

A successful candidate in the national economic accounts area will conduct collaborative and/or independent research on measurement topics of importance to BEA's mission. The candidate will be expected to present the research at conferences and publish it in professional journals as well as work to implement the research in the U.S. accounts.
