Background:

The School of Arts & Social Sciences is an internationally excellent centre of research and learning on the human condition in all its dimensions. Responsibilities:
The Department of Economics is a leading centre for research and undergraduate and postgraduate education. The Department has core research strengths in development economics; experimental and behavioural economics; financial economics and econometrics; health economics; macroeconomics; and microeconomics. It has hosted several academic conferences in recent years and runs an internal and an external research seminar series.

Alongside its highly successful BSc and MSc programmes, the Department delivers a growing PhD programme as a member of the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership.

Person Specification:
The Department is seeking to appoint a research excellent academic with experience of bidding for external funding to a Senior Lectureship in Economics. Applications in any field of economics are welcome but the Department is particularly interested in academics with research in Behavioural Economics and Financial Economics. The Senior Lecturer will perform world-leading or internationally excellent research; deliver education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, participate in the supervision of students; and contribute fully to the life and work of the Department.
