The Department of Economics seeks to fill one tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are looking for an economist with an expertise in laboratory and/or field experimental methods. Applications in public, labor, industrial organization, environmental, macroeconomics and banking are of particular interest.

The successful applicant will be dedicated to quality teaching in both analytics and economics, and have an interest in participating in an active research environment. Applicants must have an established research agenda, a clear potential for external funding, and potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the economics department. The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Candidate must have an earned doctorate in Economics by August 2019, must be eligible for employment in the United States. Good communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research, and a capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues are desired.
