The Department of Economics at CIDE seeks applications to fill a tenure-track position at its campus in Mexico City starting August 2019. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics from an accredited institution by August 2019. Candidates are expected to provide evidence of potential to develop an outstanding record of scholarly research. The position is for a candidate with teaching and research interests in macroeconomics (including macroeconometrics).

The Department offers undergraduate and MSc programs in economics. Candidates are expected to provide quality teaching at these levels. Expected teaching load is two courses per year.

Knowledge of Spanish is not required, but we expect successful applicants to be able to teach in Spanish within two years following the appointment.
