The Department of Economics at the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) seeks applications to fill one tenure-track position at its campus in Aguascalientes, Mexico starting August 2019. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics, agricultural and resource economics, applied economics or related field in economics, from an accredited institution by August 2019.

The position is for a candidate with teaching and research interests in Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics; Environmental and Ecological Economics (Q), Urban, Rural, Regional, Real Estate, and Transportation Economics (R), Mathematical and Quantitative Methods (C), Microeconomics (D).

Candidates are expected to provide evidence of potential to develop an outstanding record of scholarly research. We are interested in someone who can teach thematic courses (e.g. Natural Resource Economics, Sustainable Development) as well as core courses in Economics (e.g. Micro, Statistics, Econometrics).

CIDE campus in Aguascalientes, where the position is based, hosts a Masters in Environmental Economics program. Candidates will be expected to provide quality teaching at the undergraduate and master levels. Expected teaching load is two courses per year.
