Illinois College invites applications for a full-time position in Economics to begin Fall 2021. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Strong preference given to candidates who have the ability to contribute broadly through teaching courses in this list: Survey of Economics, Introductory Statistics, Intermediate Micro or Macroeconomics, select finance classes and topic classes that could include Agricultural Economics, Commodities and Futures, Game Theory, and Health Care Finance/Economics. We seek a candidate who values the liberal arts and is able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester. Faculty work closely with students both in and outside the classroom and serve the college in a variety of other ways. A completed Doctorate is strongly preferred, but highly qualified ABD candidates will be considered.
