The School of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/advanced-assistant professor position in empirical microeconomics. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding applied econometrics skills and scholarly interests at the nexus of two or more areas of focus within the School: development, environment and energy, health, or globalization/trade. Applicants whose research includes social justice issues are also encouraged to apply. The cover letter should explicitly address how the applicant’s qualifications and research meets the above criteria.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching econometrics and other courses relevant to their expertise, as well as developing collaborative research with faculty in the School of Economics and others at Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech is a Research I institution, ranked in the top-10 nationally among public universities, and offers significant opportunities for collaborative research and teaching across complementary disciplines such as computing, public policy, urban planning and management, and international affairs, and engineering.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in economics or a related field prior to employment. Applicants should have a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching commensurate with their time in rank, or should show promise for both research and teaching excellence in the case of junior applicants.
