Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at Queen’s University invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral fellowship. The focus of the Postdoctoral Fellow will be on conducting research around the impact of COVID-19 and other disruptions on education outcomes.

The position is funded by the One Society Network (OSN), a national research network funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)’s Emerging Infectious Disease Modeling Initiative and supported by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). The Fellow is expected to participate in the network, which offers research support and training opportunities while building connections between epidemiologists, economists, other social scientists, and policymakers working on understanding the broader impact of disease and public health policies.

This is a one-year fellowship, which will begin on July 1, 2022. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision of Professor Christopher Cotton at Queen’s University and Professor Maggie Jones at Emory University. While we are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching interests in the area of the economics of education and/or economic issues facing underrepresented minorities, applicants in other applied microeconomics fields are also encouraged to apply.
