New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMT) invites applications for two 9-month non- tenure-track instructor positions in computer science that will perform teaching (80%), and service (20%). Teaching will be approximately twenty-four credits per year of undergraduate and graduate courses.
Specific responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Computer Science, serving as research advisor for undergraduate computer science students, preparing various accountability and assessment reports, and supporting the program certification, accreditation, and other efforts as needed. The successful candidate can start at NMT in August of 2022 or a later semester as negotiated.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the oldest computer science programs west of the Mississippi and offers an array of bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in computer science, information technology, and management. With 13 faculty and approximately 230 students, the department offers an intimate, highly focused setting for obtaining an education and conducting research.
