Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Ministry of Economy and Planning (Saudi Arabia) is building a new Economic Insights and Research Unit. The Unit provides timely and high-quality analysis and insights of the current macroeconomic developments and trends, both locally and internationally. This analysis should be grounded in sound theory and valid methods. The purpose of the analysis provided by the Unit is to guide policy and decision-makers as they deal with complex economic realities.

We are looking for economists (both male and female) with Ph.D. degrees in areas including:

Macroeconomics, applied macro, applied micro, international trade, development economics, labor economics, corporate finance, energy/resource economics, and IO.

In addition to deep knowledge in the fields listed above, we expect a high level of essential complementary skills in the areas of:
Statistics, econometrics, and essential coding for economic analysis.

We also expect excellent writing skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in the professional language of non-economists.

Fresh Ph.D. graduates and those with some working experience are all welcome to apply.
