The Research Center for Soft Energy Science (RCSES) of Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics was founded in 2008. Thanks to the members’ contributions to researches in energy transition, renewable energy development, and climate change, RCSES is now famous for its esteemed academic reputation, and positive interactions with the government departments and industries.
RCSES provides an excellent research platform for the professional development of junior faculty. It is awarded as the Key Research Base of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Jiangsu Province, a member of MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China) thinktanks. All faculty members in RCSES are PIs of NSFC projects, and many of them are hosts of national talents programs, key projects of NSFC, the Major Program of National Social Science Foundation of China. Many policy recommendations from RCSES are adopted by governments. Many researches of RCSES have achieved the awards from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Jiangsu Province, etc.
