The Accounting, Business, Economics and Finance (ABEF) Department at Muhlenberg College invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor in macroeconomics OR applied microeconomics who would be able to teach courses in both economics and finance. The ABEF Department offers majors in both economics and finance, so candidates will be expected to teach in both programs. The economics courses would primarily be in the candidate's field of interest which could include intermediate macroeconomics, industrial organization, urban economics, public finance, labor economics, poverty, discrimination, etc., and principles of macroeconomics and/or principles of microeconomics. Possible finance courses could include corporation finance, mergers & acquisitions, and investments and portfolios. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
