The Finance Group of the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston is seeking candidates for multiple open tenured or tenure-track positions at all levels (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor) in the broad thematic areas of (1) technology, digital economies, and privacy, (2) sustainability and resilience, and (3) modeling. Within these broad themes, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in information and data security, fintech and quantitative finance, applications of artificial intelligence/machine learning/natural language processing, analysis of large and non-traditional data sets, digital assets and currencies and associated technologies, technology-enabled financial liberalization, sustainable finance and investing, impact prediction, computational modeling and decision science, and network science.

Joint appointments and/or affiliations with other colleges and institutes at Northeastern University are encouraged. There is also the possibility of affiliations or appointments at other campuses within the Northeastern network, including Northeastern University – London, England, and Mills College at Northeastern, Oakland, California.

Candidates interested in conducting high-impact research programs and teaching excellence in the broad areas above are encouraged to apply. Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in Finance or a related field by the appointment start date and must have backgrounds in or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse work and educational environments. Experienced applicants for positions above the Assistant Professor level are expected to have a significant research record and leadership potential.

The Finance Group currently has 30 full-time faculty members at all levels: Full, Associate, Assistant, Teaching, and Visiting Professors. Research support, including data availability, teaching releases, and summer support, is excellent.
