Job Description:

Job Title:
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor - Economics

The Department of Economics at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to begin Fall 2023. We are seeking candidates who can add to the Department’s excellence in environmental and natural resource (ENR) economics and policy. We are particularly interested in candidates who complement current faculty research in energy and climate economics, bioeconomics, and ENR-related behavioral, experimental, or development economics. Salary, scholarly assistance, and benefits are competitive.

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a productive research program, supervise graduate students, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The Department specializes in environmental and natural resource economics and has an internationally ranked PhD program.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have a PhD in economics or a related field by the start of the appointment, and demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. Applicants of all ranks will be considered.

Desired Qualifications:
The ideal applicant will have a record of research publications in high-quality journals, and show evidence of ongoing high-quality research productivity. Also desirable are records of successful student supervision, active participation in departmental activities, and securing external research funding.

Required Materials:
All applicants should provide a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and one research paper. Applicants for the rank of Assistant Professor should arrange for three reference letters. Applicants for higher ranks should provide contact information for three references who may be contacted with permission from the candidate. Applications must be received by November 18, 2022 to be guaranteed full consideration but will be accepted until the position is filled.
