The Department of Applied Economics and Statistics at University of Delaware (UD) invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Statistics to begin fall 2023. The position will be a 9-month, academic-year appointment with approximately 60% of time devoted to research and 40% of time devoted to teaching. The new hire will have the opportunity to contribute to our goal of a new Ph.D. program in Statistics.

A Ph.D. in Statistics (or a closely related field) with research interests in Applied and Theoretical Statistics, Biostatistics, Machine learning, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or Economics, among other related areas of application. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in research and a demonstrated commitment to high quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We seek individuals that will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into their research, teaching, and mentoring both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
