Full Text of JOE Listing:

Post-Doctoral Researcher on Transportation Economics will be part of an NBER research initiative directed by Edward Glaeser, James Poterba, and Stephen Redding. The researcher will study topics on the economics of transportation, potentially including the economic analysis of transportation infrastructure, the effects of new transportation technologies such as vehicle electrification, the role of the transportation sector in reducing carbon emissions and adapting to the effects of climate change, the impact of transportation policy and initiatives on the macroeconomy, and the distributional effects of access to transportation services. The researcher will conduct self-directed research and also support a data archive collecting data sets related to transportation economics.

Applicants must have completed the PhD by June, 2023. Those who are just completing their PhDs, as well as those on leave from an academic position, are welcome. Applicants must start no later than July 1, 2023; earlier start is possible.
