Hamilton College invites applications for “Data Science/Analysis Research Librarian, “a full-time nonacademic" position in the Library and Information Technology Services (LITS). This position will provide teaching and research support to Hamilton faculty and students, introduce cutting-edge data analysis tools and methodologies (with an emphasis on STATA and R), and assist a diverse audience of social science faculty and students with collection or creation, processing, and analysis of data. This position will work collaboratively as a member of the Research and Instructional Design (R&ID) Team, who provide an inclusive, respectful, and responsive service point. This position will meet exciting research challenges, support learning communities, mentor data science student tutors, and introduce and facilitate the use of innovative technologies through consultation and instruction.

We are seeking a creative and analytical individual who enjoys variety in their work, actively participates in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, thrives on working with others to solve challenging data-related problems, and is committed to lifelong teaching and learning of data analysis and technical skills. The position will serve as library liaison to one or more academic departments, based on data analysis needs and the individual’s educational background.
