The Duke Center of International Development (DCID) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year. There is a possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
Directed by Prof. Edmund Malesky, DCID focuses on promoting sustainable development through research, education and engagement with students, policy makers, practitioners, development partners, civil society and the private sector. The Fellow will work closely with Prof. Malesky and Dr. Jonathan Stromseth, Professor of the Practice at the Sanford School, to design and construct a data visualization platform under a new climate innovation initiative at DCID, focusing on Southeast Asia. The platform will both catalogue climate innovations in the region and illustrate financial flows going to climate projects, including official flows, private investments, and blended finance.
Applicants should have strong data science training and familiarity with global climate trends. DCID is looking to fill this position as soon as possible. Salary is competitive. Ph.D. must be in hand before beginning the appointment. On site availability in Durham, NC is preferred, though certain hybrid work schedules may be considered.
