As (Senior/Principal) Economist, you will:

• Prepare analytical work and lead research work on policy-relevant issues of strategic interest to ADB Management and its developing members.
• Contribute to the publication and sharing of research, and provide analytical and technical support to ADB operations and country offices.
• Contribute to/lead the design and implementation of research and publications, including ADB’s flagship publications, thematic reports, policy briefs, working papers, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• At the senior level, manage the design, implementation, and administration of technical assistance projects for DMCs on empirically rigorous policy analysis across a broad range of areas.

What are we looking for?

• PhD in Economics or related fields, with a background in empirical analysis and policy-focused research.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience is required at the lower grade level and minimum 12 years at the principal level.
• Demonstrated experience conducting independent research, including international experience working in several countries.
• Evidence of high-quality research and publications in international peer-reviewed professional journals.
