A change in criminality
Crime is measured as the average natural log of income-generating crime per capita. High immigrant neighborhoods are in the top 25% of the authors' immigrant destination index, and low immigrant neighborhoods are in the lower 75%. Income-generating crime only spikes for people who are likely to be recent immigrants after LAW expired, which barred them from the workforce.
