Recommendation letters for lateral market?

I wonder is there any rules of thumbs re: recommendation letters for assistant professors going to the market a few years in. For instance, is it important to have committee members writing a letter? Is it ok if co-authors write letters, too?

Co-authors writing letters would be more relevant, especially if it has been a while since you graduated.

I concur to this response, especially if you graduated more than 10 years ago.
