The LEHD Program of the Census Bureau's Center for Economic Studies is releasing Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) data by state on a flow basis

Data available at present for individual postsec institutions, by degree and major, in four states:
Texas (University of Texas campuses)
Colorado (all public universities and colleges)
Michigan (University of Michigan-Ann Arbor)
Wisconsin (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
Outcomes data include annual earnings, industry of employment, geographic location
Data available by graduation cohort (starting in 2001) and 1, 5, and 10 years after graduation
Outcomes determined through matching student records with employee wage records
Census indicates that by 1Q 2020, new PSEO data from the following states will be available – Texas (universities other than University of Texas), Ohio (public universities), and New York (SUNY and CUNY). States in the queue for after 1Q 2020 include Virginia, Indiana, Utah, and Pennsylvania (public universities and 4-year colleges other than Penn State).
In addition to enabling economic research, PSEO data indicate the geographic migration patterns of social science PhDs after graduation. At present, economics PhDs are within a broader social science category.
