On March 6, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis published a prototype distribution of income data series for 2007-16. Data download and supporting documentation are available at

BEA plans to initiate the official series in December 2020, adding data for 2017-18.

The article invites comments on the new data series: "BEA is seeking feedback to help refine the methodology and presentation of the prototype distribution of personal income statistics, with plans to begin estimating income distribution on a regular schedule by the end of 2020.
