The Research Department seeks an experienced research economist to head the Monetary and Macroeconomics section in our Research Department. Responsibilities include providing leadership for macroeconomic research and policy activities as a senior member of the department, engaging in academic research for publication in professional journals, briefing the Bank's president on policy issues and helping to coordinate the department's monetary policy briefings, and contributing to public education via our Business Review.
Excellent research skills are vital, as are a demonstrated interest in policy issues, good writing and speaking skills, and demonstrated administrative ability. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics, several years of distinguished research and policy experience, and an established research agenda as demonstrated by several publications in top-tier professional journals. The Department offers an outstanding research environment and competitive salary and benefits.
