The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking a senior-level economist specializing in banking, financial intermediation, or regulation. The position is in the Risk and Policy Analysis Unit of the Banking Supervision Department. Senior-level applicants are expected to work on a self-directed, policy-oriented research agenda for publication in top academic journals, advise senior management at the Bank on policy questions related to financial markets, and participate in Federal Reserve System initiatives on financial stability and regulation of financial institutions and markets. Senior economists are expected to mentor junior economists in the unit. The job involves a moderate amount of travel. Applications will be accepted until the position has been filled.
