The School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Nazarbayev University invites applications for full time positions in Economics at all ranks in Economics to begin the 2014-15 academic year. We seek candidates with strong teaching and research interests in any subfield of Economics. Successful candidates will teach four courses each year, maintain vigorous research program, and contribute to departmental service. Ph.D. required or expected by August 2014.
Nazarbayev University, located in Astana, Kazakhstan, was created with the support of leading universities (www.nu.edu.kz). Our partners include the UW-Madison, Fuqua School of Business of Duke University, and School of Public Policy of the University of Singapore. The School (shss.nu.edu.kz) offers an undergraduate program in Economics and is planning to launch a Masters program in the near future. Compensation includes an internationally competitive salary, startup funds, medical benefits, housing, and travel.
