The Public Utility Research Center (PURC) at the University of Florida is seeking a Junior Economist in Utility Regulation and Strategy to contribute to PURC's international research and outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will be a key contributor of research on critical policy issues. In addition, the successful candidate will serve as an expert resource for regulatory professionals and policymakers, provide research that informs the academic community and practitioners on emerging issues and best practices, and contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives. He or she will have strong analytical skills, an advanced degree in economics or a related quantitative field, and an in-depth knowledge of electricity, water, or telecommunications issues. A Ph.D. is preferred, but other degrees will be considered.
