Our organization is called the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, and we've been around since 1980. We're a growing university-based research center dedicated to advancing knowledge about how markets work to improve people's lives by training graduate students, conducting research, and applying economics to offer solutions to society's most pressing problems.

We're looking for an economist that specializes in the financial market to further expand our Financial Markets Working Group. As a Mercatus Scholar, you will partake in conducting research on financial markets, writing short policy papers and op-eds, providing press interviews, testifying before Congress, Ideally, you are someone who is interested in public policy with a research interest in financial market, some background in public choice economics and Austrian economics, and share our passion for economic freedom and market-oriented solutions.
