Iowa State University has launched the Presidential High Impact Hires Initiative to support targeted faculty hiring in areas of strategic importance. The Department of Political Science, the Bioeconomy Institute and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, invite applicants for a tenure track assistant or associate professor, beginning August 16, 2014. The successful candidate is expected to teach and do research in public policy within Political Science and Iowa State's Bioeconomy Institute; publish in quality refereed outlets; pursue research funding opportunities; and provide institutional service.

Applicants must have a completed Ph.D. in Political Science, Engineering, or a related field with a record of research on energy policy and teaching experience in the area of public policy by the start date, and evidence of a scholarly record and successful teaching. Salary is competitive.
