Position Description: The successful candidate will join a productive team of researchers working on a NSF-funded research project. The candidate will conduct economics research of water and coastal resource management issues, and gain valuable experience publishing articles, writing grant proposals, and mentoring students. If desired, the successful candidate may also have opportunities to teach. The initial appointment will be for one-year with an opportunity for a fixed-length renewal.
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in economics, resource or environmental economics, natural resource management or other applicable field by date of hire; advanced training in microeconomics and quantitative methods; and strong written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience or demonstrated potential for publishing in high-quality journals, conducting interdisciplinary research, and with interests in applied research of water and coastal resource management issues, the value of information, and the role of institutions in natural resource management.
Anticipated Start Date: June 1, 2014 or until position is filled.
