The Department of Economics of Hong Kong Baptist University offers Bachelor of Business Administration (Applied Economics Concentration), Bachelor of Social Science in China Studies (Economics concentration) and Master of Science in Applied Economics.

The Department invites applications for the above position. Applications in all economic fields will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

- Monetary Economics
- Chinese Economy
- International Finance
- Real Estate Economics
- Urban / Housing Economics

Applications should have a relevant PhD Degree with proven research record. Those who are doing applied research on China will have an added advantage. Besides undergraduate and graduate teaching and high-quality research work, applicants are expected to supervise postgraduate thesis.

The appointment is on a substantiable track and initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years commencing as early as mid-August 2014. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Remuneration package includes retirement/gratuity benefits, annual leave, medical and dental scheme, housing assistance and relocation allowance wherever appropriate.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
