The National Science Foundation (NSF) seeks a Director for the Economics Program who, along with Nancy Lutz (the permanent Program Director) and another rotator Program Director, would evaluate economics proposals, chair meetings of the Economics Advisory Panel, represent NSF at professional meetings and perform many other interesting and challenging tasks on a one to two year rotational basis. The position will be filled on either a Visiting Scientist Appointment or a Temporary Appointment under the Excepted Authority of the NSF Act or Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignment for a period of one or two years. The appointment will begin in August 2015. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in a field relevant to economic science and six or more years of research experience beyond the Ph.D. To qualify for the position you must have a tenured academic position in economics or equivalent professional experience.
