The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) seeks an editor for its quarterly professional journal, Business Economics, which provides state-of-the-art analysis and information for business economists.
Obtaining, editing and compiling papers for publication are the core responsibilities of the Editor. This entails seeking papers from contributors at NABE conferences, working with referees from the Editorial Board to decide which unsolicited papers to publish and encouraging authors to complete their papers which are then edited and then sent to Palgrave MacMillan for formatting. The editor works with Palgrave Macmillan to obtain copyrights, sequence the articles for each issue, and review the print-ready proofs.
The ideal candidate will possess:

•a combination of education and experience in professional economic analysis
•substantial editing experience and/or at least demonstrated experience in writing clearly and correctly
•a track record of working under (and meeting) critical deadlines
•the desire and ability to cultivate relationships with NABE Members, the academic community, and other potential authors within the business economics community to generate submissions
