The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) seeks candidates to conduct research on internet, communications, and technology policy; the impact of information technology on economic growth, innovation, productivity, employment, and standards of living, and the implications for public policy; and/or similar topics. Candidates should have completed or expect to soon complete a PhD in economics or in related fields.
Scholars will pursue their own research agenda related to internet, communications, and technology policy. They are expected to produce academic research suitable for publication in top-level journals and/or AEI's many in-house publications. Scholars are also expected to communicate their research and its policy implications to journalists, policymakers, and the general public. Compensation and title are determined based on education and experience.
AEI is a private, non-partisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization committed to free markets, public engagement, and academic freedom. AEI scholars are self-directed, working on the issues and projects that they view as most important and the best use of their time and talents.
