New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the rank of associate professor in Economics and Educational Policy. The appointed faculty member will be part of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Professions, which offers programs in Education and Social Policy, Applied Statistics, Sociology of Education, and International Education. The appointment begins September 1, 2016.
Qualifications: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in economics, public policy, or related social science. Applicants must also have an established record of research and teaching excellence, peer-reviewed publications, and demonstrated potential for developing externally-funded research grants. Field of specialization is open, although we seek candidates with expertise in the economics of education, education policy, labor economics, public finance, and/or behavioral economics.
The search at NYU Steinhardt is occurring in conjunction with Applied Microeconomics faculty searches in the Department of Economics at the Stern Graduate School of Business and in the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. The goal is to hire an energetic and motivated groups of researchers who, along with existing faculty, will forge a dynamic applied microeconomics research group at NYU.
