NCAER is India's oldest and largest non-profit, national, economic research institute. It does independent grant-funded research and special studies for governments and industry. NCAER has strong scientific, survey data-collection capabilities.
We seek researchers in multiple fields excited by the analytical, implementation, evaluation and political challenges of evidence-based economic policymaking. NCAER provides unparalleled opportunities to work on complex policy problems, use NCAER’s unique data sets or collect new data, contribute to policymaking at the highest levels, publish professionally, and engage with the print, digital, and social media. Applicants must have strong quantitative skills, high-quality PhD/Master’s degrees in Economics, Applied Statistics, Survey Research or other social sciences or a world-class MPA/MBA, and must be independent self-starters.
Senior Fellows provide intellectual and institutional leadership, develop and lead research programs, mentor junior staff, and have a strong post-PhD research, teaching, publications, and fund-raising record built across multiple, past positions.
Fellows are mid-career professionals with a strong, post-PhD record of applied research, project management, teaching, or publications demonstrated over one or more previous positions
Associate Fellows have fully/nearly completed PhDs with cutting-edge empirical skills and demonstrable research experience. Exceptional MPAs/MBAs/MAs will be considered.
Appointments are on renewable, 3-year contracts; shorter-term arrangements can be considered.
