The Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for a number of (tenure track) positions as assistant professor in Economics and in Business starting from the Fall of 2016. Applicants should have a PhD degree (in Economics, Business, Accounting, Finance, Logistics or similar) before taking up the position. Major responsibilities include teaching of BSc, MSc and PhD students in Economics or Business, and research within those fields. Lectures etc. may be given in English. Research and teaching at the Department of Economics and Business Economics focus on theory and applications within macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, accounting, finance, logistics and economics of business.
The duration of the assistant professorship is five years. Research facilities, time to devote to research, travel support, etc., are very good. For non-Danish researchers favourable tax-schemes exist. The Department is host to several research centres providing an active research environment with amble influx of visiting fellows.
The Department of Economics and Business Economics services several undergraduate and Master-level programs including programs in Economics and Management, Quantitative Economics, Economics and Business Administration, Business Economics and Auditing, Finance, Finance and International Business, International Economic Consulting, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The PhD programme has an annual intake of around 20-25 students and currently the number of PhD students in Economics and Business is about 75. More information is available at www.econ.au.dk.
