The NYU's School of Professional Studies McGhee Division invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor and Coordinator for its growing B.S. in Real Estate program. The position will also entail coordination with the SPS Schack Institute B.S. in Real Estate program. Faculty appointments are for 9 months, and are renewable annually based on performance. Coordinator appointments are concurrent administrative positions that run for 11 months, and are independently renewable annually based on performance. The standard full-time teaching load for faculty without administrative responsibilities is six courses per academic year; the teaching load for coordinators is four courses per academic year.
Candidates should possess an advanced degree in real estate, finance, urban design or a related discipline. Required qualifications include: excellence in undergraduate or graduate-level teaching of real-estate development, real estate finance and economics, real estate property management and asset management, or urban design; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and enthusiasm for teaching in traditional classrooms and online venues. Desired qualifications include lauded experience in degree-program management, adjunct faculty management, student advising and teaching online courses. PhD preferred.
